• Three images of your star highlighted among other stars and constellations in the night sky: A large picture of the section of the sky where your chosen star is located,
  a zoomed-in image focusing on the chosen star and a polar projection offering a unique perspective of the celestial sphere.
• Stars registration number (this can be used in the Star Finder App to locate your star) and its HIP number.

A HIP number refers to the Hipparcos Catalogue number, which is an identifier assigned to stars in the Hipparcos Catalogue, a star catalog created by the European Space Agency’s (ESA) Hipparcos satellite.

Where Does The Information Come From?

The information on the star map is first and foremost based on the specific star you choose when placing your order and the name you give it.

When you order your star, the first step is to give your star a name; the same name will be featured on your star map.

In the second step of your ordering process, you can choose the star type—whether it is a regular star, a constellation star (a single visible star within the selected constellation), or a binary star system. 

In the third step, you choose the brightness you want for your star (regular, bright, or very bright).

These choices determine which star is assigned to you, which in turn determines what magnitude, type, coordinates, HIP number, and constellation will be shown on the star map.
